Maybe it's just because I'm over 45 years old and finally getting it, or maybe it's because I read the book and did what it said, but I am having a GREAT! time in our marriage now.
The other day I took my beautiful bride of 23 years out to dinner on "date night". As usual she started talking about everything that is bothering her. Problems with the children, the business, the bills, her friends, the children's teachers, the housework, you name it.
I thought, "Oh no, not another date of not talking about us."
So I turned it around. I used all the information I got by reading "For Men Only", and waltzed my bride through all that stuff that was bothering her and everything that was on her mind, and I danced her into joking with me, and telling funny stories, and exclaiming about the wonderful food, and just stuff about us, as if there were no children, no bills, no teachers, no housework, IT WAS WONDERFUL!
Guys, get a life! Then give it up for her. You will be amazed how great your marriage becomes.

Williard,
I know where you are coming from! i am about to get married, and my bride to be has always liked to vent, which didnt bother me until recently. then i started reading "for men only" and we get along SOOOO much better now. I understand that i am supposed to confront how she feel about the problem first, then the problem.
